Good, clean, simple b&b
The bathroom was a challenge. The toilet seat didn't fit properly and kept sliding. The in-bath shower (half)glass door wouldn't stay open level with the bath edge - it either swung into the shower, cramping the occupant, or out, allowing shower water to flow directly onto the floor. There were small rubber fittings to prevent the door swinging but they weren't man enough for the job. The shower pressure and hot water was fine but 2 days was enough, longer and I would have asked for another room.

The Melvill Guest House was a bed and breakfast offering a delicious English Breakfast each morning. It was clean, modern, friendly and helpful owners, and within walking distance of the center of town with all the restaurants, pubs and shops.
There was nothing that we did not like about the B & B and we would stay there again.

We were given a very warm welcome, and Karen, the owner, achieved a good balance between being friendlly and helpful but was not intrusive.The room was very good - clean and well appointed - and the breakfast excellent.We would be very happy to go again.

Nice welcome and easier to park than other places in Falmouth. A lovely breakfast completed a great overnight stay.

The owner was so welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable, with fantastic views across the sea. The breakfast was cooked to perfection, so much choice. We were made to feel relaxed and valued by the owner. I would recommend this guest house highly.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and we had a very comfortable stay. Our room was lovely and we were very pleased to find a small fridge in the room. We had a great view of the harbour area. Breakfast was was really nice with lots of healthy options as well as an excellent "full english" and always served very efficiently. We would happily stay there again. Free wifi was very useful.
A very small quibble was the size of the towels in the bathroom. We would have liked something a little larger.

Friendly and attentive service. Owner offered to serve breakfast earlier than 8am to allow us extra time to reach an early morning interview. Gave us a map of Falmouth and made sure we knew how to reach the interview location the next morning.
